Book Reading: Noah's Ark

Noah's Ark Illustrated by Peter Spier. A Caldecott Medal book.

Vania's comment: Noah built an ark. He let all the animals in and saved them from the flood. Few people obeyed God. I like the rainbow when the flood was over because it is built by God.

Dad's comment: The illustration of this book is fantastic.

Book reading: Where the Wild Things Are

by Maurice Sendak.

Vania's comment: My favorite is that at the end of the story Max returned back home and his supper was hot and still waiting for him. The story is about a place where all wild things are. I learned that don't be wild.

Mom said: yes. Otherwise you could become a monster.

Book reading: A Tree is Nice

Written by Janice May Udry and illustrated by Marc Simont.

Vania's comment: I like the last page when everyone goes back home to plan their tree. This is a book about trees and it says a tree is nice.
